Probably moved to scraps later.

This is a quick concept art of the start scene of the mod project I'm working on with ~Woverdude. I just wanted to make a visual of the disposition of characters in this scene, excuse the poor background.

This mod will be a stand alone game (no conflict problems with other mods) and will give you the opportunity to play a Dremora and travel through the realms of Oblivion to fullfil an epic rescue mission. You will be given a role but how you play is entirely up to you and smashing your way to victory won't be the only solution to solve the quests.


The yellow stuff with glowy blue ligths are supposed to be Dwemer lamps in case you were wondering. The thing in the very foreground is a bed with someone in it, we don't see it much but it's on purpose for this element should not caught the attention at first to let the focus on the other characters and dialogs.
When we get to create this scene there might be more characters present but here I only put the three ones that really matter: Arkved (the Altmer), Sothis (the Dunmer on the right) and Tobias (the hooded guy on the left).
I know it's very sketchy XD

Wow, so mystic character from poll was actually dremora. I must admit, I would be little dissapointed if it be khajiit, bosmer or altmer, but chance to play as dremora with own story is just incredibly cool. But if it will be based on Skyrim, there is still one thing that bothers me - I hate dremora desing in Skyrim.

Hahaha^^ Well, what is it you don't like? ...is it because they look like horny Dunmers? sorry, "horned" Dunmers? :D
Those in Morrowind looked more Daedric I think...
I hope you'll like Velkan though (that's how I call him for now at least). It will be a little more than a Dremora since he won't be alone in his head...^^

Yes and because if you look at daedric masks on Almsivi [link] you will notice that they are in one style, they have something oriental in design maybe from Indian gods and some delicate ornament. Dremora in Morrowind looked like its face is half mask, skin is like hardened lava and armor is part of body. In Skyrim it looks like... designers are lazy.

I see what you mean and I agree. Dremoras are more than Dunmer with horns.
To me their armor is part of their body as a symbiotic Daedric lifeform and they get it through a painful ritual, removing their skin and rolling themselves in the lava to allow the symbiot to come cover the flesh and harden in the shape of the armor. And so it's why you can't remove an armor from a Dremora.
The Dremora I thought of however won't have an armor, he removed his own armor as an act of defiance. This allows the player to put on different equipments or clothes. Concerning the face we'll see what we can do to expand a bit more the design possibilities.
I think the developpers didn't spend much time to work on the dremoras because there are very few ones in the game and they surely didn't want to bring them in the "spotlight" as they say. It's not like in Oblivion where they were very important. I wasn't fond of Oblivion Dremoras though. They were quite flashy.

Great! I think I'll try to make a picture of Calemryon soon to get a better idea of what he could look like (I hope you like him)
