This is Calemryon, or "Calem" or just "Cal" for friends. If some drunkard in a bar of Senchal gives you a treasure map and a boat for free you should probably think twice before accepting the gift... or be a fearless adventurer like Cal.

More may be revealed later on as the mod development goes on.

I must say I'm very frustrated of how this turned out. I wanted to test an ink pencil I found but it didn't feel at all like the old one I had, it would pour way too much ink and I was unable to reproduce all the little details I had planned. I wished the face feature to be a bit more elvish than this. Very frustrating. And since it's also my first attempt at watercolor since months ago I have to face how much technic I've lost... not that I ever had a lot of technic, but well.

You decided to try watercolours? I think its suitable for concept art, because it is much faster technique then digital (at least in my experience). That looks so senceless when artists do some concept picture which take few evenings to complete, and he/she draw and draw at same spot to make some beautiful shadows and lights... In my concept art preferences first is morrowind, shivering isles near it, then Oblivion and Skyrim is out of preferences.

Watercolor is great for concept indeed, I just regret that I left many of my favorite colors behind when I split up with my ex gf. My current palette is reduced mostly to ocher, browns, a bit of red, greens and a few blue. I still have what I need for blending but some pigments aren't of the same quality and it doesn't look so great.

Concerning the quickness of production I would say it depends. I think it took me as much time to do this pic (if not more) than to do the Necromancer's Amulet (both takes on the design took about 1h). These speed paintings aren't as refined as those of Skyrim, they're really speed paintings. The ones in Skyrim are more detailed and all but quite some of them were redone after screenshots etc, so it's not really concept art anymore.
Morrowind concept arts were the over top best ones anyway.

As I am not an artist, I do not understand the varied techniques and can't comment on the quality of it from that perspective. However, this image has conveyed the two main insights I need from character design 1) Physical appearance of the character so that he or she can be accurately portrayed within the game. 2) A vivid display of the character's personality. As such, it will work excellently as concept art. Keep up the great work. :-)
